I keep on getting an error message, I've tried the install guide, and I'm using a Windows 7 laptop. I've also used the 'Registry Editor' as well

I have a similar problem, any ideas guys? Some mods, like Karelia or GJS works and some didn't (like Stalingrad). I have done everything as I should do. Rodmorg, make sure Close Combat is installed in Program Files directory, patch directory also should be C:\Program Files. I had the same problem, I suppose it's common for Win 7.

Well, there's Program Files, and Program Files (x86) would that cause something wrong to happen?

Well, I didn't put the files as a Backup... How do I do that? Do I just Copy and Paste the files?

If you read the error message, it is about x86, and it is trying to back up the original CC5.exe, but it can't find, did you install to program files or program files x86?

After this error I usually tell people to start over.

Uninstall CC5 and delete the folders. Remove any mods from Config Manager that have been installed and gave you errors.

Now restart and force the install into the /Program Files/ folder. Make sure you run Config Manager with admin rights.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
