I liked this post in particular from that topic over on the Matrix 'Nam '65 forums:

Quote:
Just exactly how many American and Vietnamese people you have working on this? Tell me what sources you are using and what country who you're main programmer is from?

Seems the hippies from that time period, those same types who would spit on returning soldiers from the war then still won't shut up.

Was always surprised that only 1 'Nam mod was done for any flavor of CC and that one was never ported to anything later than CC3 Legion, especially consider am guessing a lot of the folks who play this game either grew up during that wartime period, or were young adults during that period and remember it well.

There are all types of fantasy mods, even WW1 mods, yet just 1 'Nam mod as mentioned. Found that strange.

Went looking at some of your work.. Nice.. Plenty of 60's-80's mod stuff done. I wasn't really aware of it, since they were done on CCMT and that was one of the platforms (RGB, USMC) that had totally ignored.

I did go ahead and DL some of the CCMT mods, still unsure as to whether or not will get CCMT as am thinking it lacks the CC5 onward forcepool system and that's a killer.

That forcepool (lack thereof) is why never play CC3 any longer. Yeah.. Played the dickens out of it, both vs the AI, as well as on the old MS network H2H years ago, but when CC4 came out with it's weak version, then CC5 came out with a F/Pool that CC gaming has mainly stuck with? I've grown accustomed to it.

It's only 30 bucks is the thing. wasted that amount on other endeavors and in all likelihood will get it later on next week. At the least it will complete my CC titles now.. WAR onwards and then CCMT.

I think that a mod historical is very difficult to make.I like the BEL8910 vision about the conflicts and mod..he want to make a mod..ok..HE MADE;)

A vietnam campaign type historical can be made for CCMT  only you need TIME...all work that you need in UNFINISHED MOD

Shiny ballenet, dewey canyon, starlite can be made with thisdata base

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
