Antiques road show did a WW1 special. Watch this video. I found it especially touching when the expert almost lost his composure, when speaking of the Joels heroism.  You can tell it really effected him.

Good video.

Yeah good video. I didn't understand why he gave the Grandmother the VC, after she said Joel's VC was still in the family.

Because the original is so dam expensive and rare that she would be crazy to do anything with it, apart from keeping it locked up in a safe.
Its great she has a replica, because now she can show it to people.
Or display it next to the photograph in public places, such as the Antiques road show.

Needles to say losing the original VC would be a heart breaking tragedy.
Personally my self, i think i would hand mine to a museum. But it would be a very difficult decision.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
