Hello all,
We have been working on and off on a mod on the Dieppe raid in 1942. The mod is being made for Gateway to Caen. It will consist of around 12 maps covering all the beach landing zones and most of the relevant hinterland. In this forum we will be posting updates on our progress , share map previews and so on.

| Thanks much appreciated Pete. GtC works perfect on Windows 7. Maybe your Ortona mod would also be better fit for GtC or too difficult to convert from CC5? |

Wow, I recently watched some Documentary about Dieppe. Less spoken side of WW2, yet to be remembered as a milestone... It was a disaster but taught important lessons to allies towards Normandy. Looking forward to see it. |

Understandable question but sorry, we can't. This mod originally started as a smaller intermediate project over a year ago, but with Buck using 3D to model houses and using original GtC textures and learning to use Conrad's map drawing technique (next to life, studies, work) he could not quite match his Rhineland mod mapmaking speed. Now with Buck getting his college degree we can look forward again but we will not make the same mistake as in the past and set an ETA.
Being the datamodder I am the one with the easy job. As always, the mapmaking part is the most demanding and time consuming part of modding so you are going to have to bear with us for another while |

Oh my, the last update was two and a half years ago. What became of the mod? Well, life is what happened. Buck_Compton was accepted into Dutch Royal Military Academy (and graduated), got a new home and became a proud father. When things settle down for him he might (might!) get back to map making. Fingers crossed - all of them.
Meanwhile I will try and convert our older mods to other game versions, such as COI. |

Here is a long awaited update: Buck_Compton has picked up mapmaking again and is back on this mod. So far he has finished two maps.
