Its just amazing how we were all led to believe Russia's military was so extremely powerful. Then Russia shows us how wrong we have always been by tripping over their own ineptitude in a pointless war they started.

Russia called its own bluff!

I suspect it's the later.  Growing up in the Cold War and knowing the full power of Russian war machine firing on all cylinders still not forgotten. Rather it's the extreme dysfunction now, orders to commit atrocities, intentionally target all civilians, having to see corpses of dead children non combatants not to mention witnessing heavy losses of comrades with no clear reason why to die as invaders.

The US and the UK are dismantling the EU industry without disdaining anything, even direct state terrorism and sabotage! It is sad(.

Well, Lyman is an important railway junction.

NATO sources says encirclement, Russian sources says orderly retreat.

An interesting opinion by a former Spanish press correspondent in Moscow. You can use google translate

Open lie right from the start about pro-Russian blogger Anatoly Shariy. Then fairy tales about '5000 encircled' from usual 'unnamed person close to source' - gold standard of post-modern journalism. And finally yet another 'talking head' show, probably recorded in Lviv by Ukrainian psycho-war corps. Truth is only about Kadyrov speech. BTW, DailyBeast, The Sun - extremely good sources of military info. Just good sources focuses on Kherson right now, north always was a side frontline.

Current war propaganda. Just sit and wait, soon western govts and media will start once again spread scary stories about unstoppable Russian bear, to force common men vote for war hawks, more taxes for fund Ukraine, energy prices rises and so on. Of course, there will be cool points about Russian soldiers with 12-inch dicks hanging openly, wandering around battlefield to rape everyone who look girlish enough.

And how would Russian state media controlled by Putin rank in comparison to the rest of the world media which always has been proven factually accurate with their facts?

Are we suppose to trust the Autocratic state controlled by person with obvious track record of being liar?  And the whole rest of world is wrong?

These are OLD anti-Western talking points in Russia used long ago by Josef Stalin and many others whom intentionally sought to isolate Russia and blame the rest of the world for its problems.

Russia attempted to encircle Ukrainian forces many times but they wouldn't let it happen and retreat.

People living in 2D world believe to everything. Not many in Russia trust official media - thanks for late USSR and 'democratic' 90-s for some hard lessons. But i'm actually surprised, how well ukrainian propaganda piss sold to westerners as gold, even for those who show signs of intelligence. Stuck in the teeth 'damsel in distress' and 'barbarians near gate' cards still in play, and plays well. Even while ukrainian propaganda is schizophrenic by nature, with mutually exclusive terms in almost any issuance.

Yes Paratmar, you're conflating completely different things.  The entire world, not ONLY Europe is suffering from economic problems now namely supply chain constraints and inflation.  That has nothing to do with EU being weak.
Albeit EU's inflationary rate is much worse than USA right now, it's still relatively resilient.  I believe that part of supply chain problems are fabricated on purpose by China to price gouge and cheat.  And other businesses copy-cat and lie blaming alleged supply chain reasons as excuse to raise prices.  And USA recession data is less than 1% decline.  The housing market and stock markets were way overvalued anyways in need of correction.

As far as Tom Gauld cartoon....help me understand what part of this is not true.  Putin unequivocally is the wicked despot, cross between Josef Stalin and Ivan the Terrible.  Sad that Russia suffers from this delusional wicked man whom masquerades Autocratic Fascist state controlled by him as fake Czarist Imperial Russian dynasty from 1700's.  He does use Brutish tactics with documented evidence of dozens of war crimes and genocide.  Don't forget we in the West source our info independently not dependent on Ukraine.  And don't forget we have millions of Russian immigrants which teach us all the dirty tricks of Russian state. Garry Kasparov and many Russian authors/writers have long since moved here and teach us well.

Russians in Kherson crumbling now.

Will the Antonovskiy bridge remain intact or not? Photos of missiles strikes on it this morning.

Are the Russians trapped?
