i haven't played CC5 for like 4months ago and recently i reinstall CC5 with GJS mod 4.3. Out of 10 MP games, i have 7-8 games that my opponent said his game is laggy as hell that he couldn't even move a unit, but on my side, everything is smooth just occasionally experience stop of time counter. then last nite i asked my opponent and he said he has XP SP2.
when i played CC5 GJS mod 4.3 four months ago, no matter i played with european or american, the game is playable by both sides at most only a little stutter or lag. But now, it is totally unplayable. I'll install SP2 later on but would like to know if this is a known issue. Thanks.

installed on my comp and have no major problems with lag. usuallly tho the longer I play the more laggy it gets. usually 5 or 6 games in a row same player. probably due to packet loss (which CC5 has no measure of)
i found out why my opponent has laggy game but I don't on MP. Because my linksys router's firmware is not up to date. so while udp connection is still smooth b4 firmware update, tcpip sucks big time. after firmware update, everything is fine as b4. thank you all.
sp2 lagged my game bigtime OFFLINE in single player and LAN. I had to put on win99 compability mode for the cc5 exe. Maybe people are experiencing heavy video lag and blame it on the connection.
