Ciao
Andrea

dear Andima, best compliments for your mod! it was so cool to play it! Very brave in particular the Italian "Cacciacarri" teams close assaulting all size tanks and blowing 'em out with s.charge or explosive!
I hold the Axis and it took me quite a bit to win the grand campain! (Game over on the 11th of Nov.)
'Cause I am a parachuter, a special thought goes to the heroes of the Paracadutisti Folgore and to all the KIA soldiers of all wars! Much better to play games on pc instead!
Yes! Correct! I am working on a new version of the game. I will redo some maps and improve the quality of all maps. The scale of the vehicles graphics will decrease. Some new sound too. But I will progress slow because I am working on a new mod too: Gallipoli 1915 for CCV and I am at half way. About 23 new maps already fished and other 21 to do. I hope to finish El Alamein in summer 2007. Bye
Hey Adima

Changes I want to do in El alamein:
- to increase the quality of the maps
- to reduce a little the size of vehicles in a scale of 1m = 10 pixels
- maybe to add the greek brigade
- new and more historical order of battle
- some change in artillery (i.e. heat ammunition, more weapons and so on...)
- to increase IA
But I will do all these changes after the end of Gallipoli mod.
And I am so busy now, it will be a long work.
Maybe the plan can be the following:
- end of Gallipoli mod - end of 2008
- new version of El Alamein - mid of 2009
Hi Andima this is a really great Mod.
One of the best i had ever played. Especiallia the Italien troops are made great! but also the Germans and the Commonwealth Troops + Free French are made really great!
Just a few Proposals i want to make. Maybe you can make it with the next version of El Alamein you make.
You allready mentionet the more historical order of Battle so just a few small things
- replace Sten Gun with Thompson (cause Thompsons only where used by Commonwelth Troops in the African theatre) (maybe with an Icon of the Thompson 1921)
- replace Panzerfausts through shaped charges
- replace Bren Gun of Free French troops with FM 24/29
- replace the German Assault Guns maybe with afew more PanzerIIIH and Panzer IIIJ (long 50mm gun)
- replace most MG42 with MG34
I have done most of these changes on my Version for El Alamein mod (just for my self)
but i could not Generate new Icons and no Graphics for Panzer IIIJ cause my moding skills are limited to Q Clone and Battlegroup Editor.

Hi Andima and son...
Any news / update on your plans? I was really hoping to see a new version of this excellent mod. Gallipoli sounded good too - both are very rare mods not many available for Afrika / East Med. theater.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
