Hi to all,
I am happy to announce you that SOC is now more or less finished! Since my last post in August, I have finished to code the two maps which were still missing, and, as an extra, I have also more or less totally repainted the maps of Marinovka (the new version is really top compared to the SDK one), Rakotino and Voroschilov (which was initially an SDK map, but is now a custom one). In addition, I have improved Baburkin.
Apart from the maps Pitomnik, Gumrak, Plochad, Oktiabr, Orlovka, Beketovka, Alexeïevka and Zavod, roughly all the other SOC maps will be custom, which is much more than I intented when I began to work on the mod!!
In addition to the maps, I worked a lot as well on a 3DStratmap that some of you have already seen on a previous post. This one is more or less finished as well, I just have some details to work on.
However, I still have to really improve the Debrief Map and the Scenario Editor one. This will be done in October.
Of course, I have also installed the mod and began to play on two campaigns: The Grand Campaign and, I believe, a really interesting 6 days campaign called "The Rossoschka Front".
If I am happy with the difficulty settings, I still have to work on the btd's, as, of course, this silly exe absolutely wants the russians to attack from the east!!! As in SDK, some VL's will have a curious location, but I can't do anything against that.
Last -important- thing: If 2 or 3 of you are ready to receive the mod soon for beta testing, just let me know by PM. Polemarchos will obviously be one of them, I need one or two more, including one which will have to accept to play as the russians.
It's very nice to hear that this mod is almost done, SDK was my favorite mod and i am expecting to be captured with no sleep for another long moment in time

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
