I just wanted to complement whoever made this. I have been playing it for awhile and I like all the new units, especially the British AB jeeps with mgs on them. I also like how he fixed the typos in the info on each unit.

Very cool mod. Smile

Bruce Rolston made it. He also made Damnyank another great and fun mod and Anglowar, which pit the Americans and Brittish against eachother. Sadly I have been unable to find it anywere for download.

*EDIT* I was wrong Anglowar was made by Zonbie aka Zon

I'll second that mate Very Happy a really great mod for the original game.
I've played it through many times and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone interested in this game.

Cheers Smile

Yeah, one of the only things I miss in it are the 17 pounders from oosterbeek, but I guess that must be one of the things he corrected.

I just finished reading the book A Bridge Too Far and actually the original game is pretty close to what happened, but this Real Para mod brings it even closer.

First you click on downloads up in the top left of the site. Then click on Close Combat 2, and once you get into that, click on the mods section. I hope this answers your question.

Well the Biggest Difference is That XXXcorp is instead American, see if you can fight your up the road with M-8 Greyhounds, M-36 Jacksons, M-18 Hellcats, Sherman Jumbos and lots of other American tanks. It also retains many of Realparas changes to the game. Hummel instead of Jagdtiger Char B1-bis Flamethrower tanks instead of FlameHetzers, and so forth. It also Makes a few new changes for a what if type of thought, some which can be a killer to the Allies, transports for the 88 at Son, Kampfgruppe Walther does not get split in two by XXX corp(or in this case American V corp) but instead pulls back to Vehgel intact with out losing Von Der Heydte’s paratroopers at Schijndel. For the Allies its the 82nd that lands in Arnhem while while the 1st Airborne lands at Driel also on the first day. At Nijmegen the 1st Airborne and the Polish land and the Polish are sent to get the Nijmegen bridge before the Groesbeek Hieghts are secured.

Well Thats I think everything. Smile

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
