This was way back in July 2008...pretty interesting though...
The Australian Defence Simulations Office ( ADSO ) of the Department of Defence has contracted Panther Games Pty Ltd to provide a Defence wide license for the use of their operational warfare simulation, Conquest of the Aegean ( COTA ).
ADF Version COTA Front PageCOTA covers the historical World War 2 battles in Greece and Crete. Its revolutionary design, powerful artificial intelligence and intuitive user interface have seen it win a swag of awards including the Wargamer.com’s Best Wargame 2006 and Best Developer 2006, War Historical’s Wargame of the Year 2006 and CyberStratege’s Laurier d’Or 2006.
COTA will support the Australian Army Military History training program. Army members can gain a greater understanding of the conflicts through first hand “experience” by undertaking “scenarios” or battles from the Aegean Campaign.
Panther Games president, Dave O’Connor says: “We are delighted to provide COTA under license to Defence and are looking forward to an influx of new players. Use of simulations in military training has increased rapidly, especially here in Australia. There has been a noticeable increase in the awareness of the benefits to be gained from using simulations in training and our company looks forward to further cooperation in this area.”

I'd give 60PLN for it .
Anyway, I exchanged my CCMT box for the first part of Airborne Assault. I admire it's mechanics, but I haven't played it much because I'm not really fond of the large scale strategic war gaming.
I prefer playing with a pluton or with a company, battalion is a maximum for me.
Also, I'd prefer something like 1939 or France or some other non-airborne campaign.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
