Its a regular TLD but with some improvments and changes:
-way longer campaign (not only 4 days)
-both sides are the same in terms of quantity, equpment and experience  - to have fun in h2h games
-only light mortars (with smoke)
-instead of medium mortars, there is more mortar barrage (i think there is a bug - you cannot have more then 4 per day)
-there is one hvy mortar but immobile in one BG
-with no medium mortars, vehicles are finally in use. And there are many of them. I find it more interesting to have just a few tanks and many more vehicles - again it is supposed to be an infantry game with supporting vehicles. at least in my opinion Smile
-larger infantry squads to have it again a close combat infantry game, not the panzer one
-small LMGs squads etc

and many more

I want to test if it works properly. I played previous versions with Will and we had great fun - finally there was only pure tactic, no Panther advantages Wink

So, it's a mod.... not a sub-mod.

ok...Normandy is a mod of CC1

and a mod of CC4

and a mod of cc3

and a mod of cc2

even though tLD it is more feature rich than all preceding releases.

I wonder who is dumb enough to call re-coding and adding features, fixing bugs and expanding gameplay, a mod?

I guess I will list the modders who have achieved this in the past...

1.

tell me if my list gets too long.......

Schrecken, stay calm, ok? Im not calling you a dumb.
Second, I dont care they recodded it - whatever. I dont want to make it offtopic, many people said enough regarding this. My biggest feature that it is stable. Finally
Third: I wonder why in patches they make new bugs... wired, but true (retreat option worked at the begining...)

Anyway, TLD is not a brand new game, IT IS MORE OR LESS THE SAME, good Normandy.
I can see HUGE differences between CCIII-  CCIV CCIV- CCV
And not too many between CCV and TLD.

But again - I was happy to receive something stable, something with new features - more or less a new mod. And it was OK with me to pay for this. I simply dont agree its a new product, ok? Simply? I think yes.
So easy man.

And it was a joke...

I had some more time and deicded to write something regarding this:
-recoding and new features - i think while you should try harder being more nice, the programmers should try harder with this *recoding* Night turns are a nice feature, but game engine seems not to see them. i.e.: para brigade makes a dop in one of teh empty maps. Map belongs to them. But when opponent moved there Turn1, this is a meeting engagment. Somewhow.

Scenario editor - no night turns...

So dont tell me its a new product or im dumb enough thinking its a mod, not a new product. And again -I was happy for paying for this but as a support fee for an old product, not for a new thing.

-fixing bugs, creating new bugs with the new features:D Good job, keep hard work:) (no retreat feature working, while it worked before)

and some more.

Once again: I find TLD the best from the series. But not a brand new thing:)

Cheers Schrecken Smile
