The 2009/2010 year has been by far the best year for donations. The site is 90% payed for now by donations and advertising. If the advertising revenue stayed the same as previous years we'd be well over 100% payed for. The average daily revenue over the past year for the ads has dropped to about $.54c a day now.
In order to be payed for 100% by the community, we need to raise another USD $124.
The bill is coming next month on June 11th. These are your final four weeks to contribute or just say thank you to everyone that has made this site what it is today.
Whatever the difference is, if any, will be paid in full by me. |

Hey, Mooxe, if the site has successfully moved to a community-paid model, aren't these pesky ads redundant now?

| The ads still pay for a few hundred dollars of the bill. Usually the ads pay for about 50% of the site and the donations made up the other half. This year its more like 20% ads, 80% donations. I would gladly stop either one if they raised 100% every year. |

The ads are no big deal to me.
I learned a long time ago just to tune out advertising.
The last thing that pisses me off to no end now is how TV does advertising during the show your watching on the bottom of the screen. |

| The Ads are a minor distraction, and if they help generate much needed revenue, then so be it. As platoon_michael says, I hardly notice them.... |

They learned it from teh internets. Also, TV is bad.
Personally, I can't tolerate animated ads. |
