My Country has not participated in WW2 actively. However, each year on 6 of June I mourn for the young people, american, british or german, who gave their lives on that day and the following days as well as all the soldiers died in wars throughout history. Every time I play CC I remember sorrows of a soldier at the front. Lets remember these people and be grateful to God for being able to live this nice day.

"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few"
-Winston Churchill after the battle of Britain

But it could apply to the brave men who landed in Normandy this day as well, a few thousand men that spearheaded the liberation of Europe. June 6 is the Swedish national-day, but for me it will always be remembered as D-day...

"When the tough gets going, I run to live to run another day..."

"Is this trip really necessary?"

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
