I can install the game without problems but when I try to run the game I get stuck in a blackscreen. I can do nothing! I cant tab down to desktop or start Taskmanager.
I have tried to run the game in different Compability modes and always run in admin mode.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Roligt att du skulle nämna den, satt själv i natt och funderade på den! Very Happy

Ska testa det när jag kommer hem sen.

Jepp, CCstarter fixade biffen!...nästan Crying or Very sad
Confused

Hmmm...kanske skulle hålla mig till engelska? Idea

I have done some checking by pressing START, RUN and typing Cmd and then dxdiag.
And in the Diagnostictool for DirectX box i go to the Displaytab and sees that DirectDraw-accelaration is active but there is NO button to switch it off/on. Also missing is the boxes Direct3D-acceleration and AGP-acceleration.

using CC Starter again I select Disable DD and activate it again when quitting CC5. I also select win 95/98 compability. I enter the game and tab down to CC Starter and it says that DD is still enabled. Hmmm....

Förstod du något av min darriga engelska förklaring? Wink

I understand. I got the feeling that notmany have had this problem before...
But Im in no particulary hurry or annything, I still got CC5 on my old stationary Win XP
AND on my old Win XP laptop, so I should be alright Wink

Ibland undrar jag om ens de engelsk-språkiga personerna här är experter på engelska Shocked
Värsta stället för misshandel av det engelska språket måste vara på youtube?

What Viking jive are you people speaking...

So is Windows 7 the issue or something else?  Maybe it is better to keep running XP ?  I have not yet upgraded to Windows 7.

Just some old fashion swedish gibberish. Very Happy

I don't know if Win 7 is the problem, I have seen (or rather red) that others can play CC5 just fine on Win 7 Home edition...Im begining to wonder if my graphic card is a bit odd? Or maybe Win 7 Pro doesn't cut it with CC?

Alright, got CC5 working now.
Rather emberassing, but all you had to do was to NOT open CCstarter in adminmode. When it starts CC5 OS asks if it's ok to start it. Just Hit ok and everything was ok.
