I've been enjoying playing this game, but I want to take my knowledge of vehicles, armor and guns a step further. I would really like to learn the strengths and weaknesses of each.
I want to start with tanks. In the battle of berlin mod, I see a lot of Soviet tanks and their names start with GV. However, I was looking at this site, and I don't see this tank anywhere

Gv is russian, means that they belong to a Guards unit Im sure of that Dima can explains this but i think a Sovjet unit (division, army aso) units were awarded Guards status after distinguishing themselves in service, and are considered to have elite status.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
