Tigercub GJS Data Mod

3 years ago i was playing GJS and a german inf gun knocked out my AVRE as this little gun does not have the ablity to kill something like this heavy tank, This started me modding but only for a small group wargaming friends, my Nut bag WW2 friends and I have been tinkering ...and want to upload for the players who may like what i have done.

things i have looked at...and taken into account

Rates of fire of all guns and tanks

Guns pentration all tanks and guns, rifles,MG but to lesser extent.

Ammo types SP rounds germans do have some for the 50mm AT guns but only 3 per gun ,MK3 50mm 4 rounds ,brits  6 pounder SP 5 rounds

HMG setup time made faster than they were in real life because not practical in close combat after losing target lock they move in a building then spend time setting up again wile your getting you butt kicked so now more user friendly, lighter more mobile for better game play

I Looked at tank armor,  tanks have weak spots taking into account view slots and the like also the extra armor from tracks and wheels and armor skirts that add pertection value on places of the Vechicles

ammo lay outs in some cases swap AP rounds for HE

gun optics looked into( Gun accuracy )

like this panther Gunsight : TZF 12a

Primary Magnification : 2.5x magnification / 28° Field of View
Secondary Magnification : 5x magnification / 14° Field of View

and this Firefly Gunsight : No.43 x 3 ML Mk.III / I

Primary Magnification : 3x magnification / 13° Field of View
Secondary Magnification : 6x magnification / 9° Field of View

Jagpanther gunsight Gunsight : WZF 1/4
Primary Magnification : 10x magnification / 7° Field of View

and this on the Pak41 75mm

Gunsight : ZF 3x8
Primary Magnification : 3x magnification / 8° Field of View

looked at some tanks have the same gun but differant Gunsights like the Stug 5x magnification and the MKIV 3x magnification and have to shear one gun accuracy value....so its set some were in the middle.

Mortars a little less Accurate and lighter so the guy is not left behind so much when u move him ,and less a killer of open top Vechicles

back pack Flamethrower 35m range both sides

larger smoke rounds from some guns and tanks.

vechicles sizes have been looked at some bigger some smaller

The stugIII was only 2.16 meters hight was a very hard target to spot made a little smaller...

The sherman stands at 2.74m hight (no change) when you looking too hit or see some thing this is a huge difference.

AT gun sizes some small changes

Panzerschreck 54
still 180m range but less accruate at any range over 105m

smoke disappears far to quickly so i have doubled the amount of smoke rounds for mortars

i have added the Rankmod & RD sound mods

to this plugin so its all in one

i hope thats ok with the guys who made them! Enjoy

What?!
7,5 cm leIG 18 - armor piercing shaped-charge projectile - up to 90 mm.
AVRE (based on the Churchill Mk III / IV) has armor> 90 mm?

i cannot find any infomation to back up this claim, so if you can give me a link would be happy to ad it to the mod...
they may have had HT rounds for this gun but i see noting from any site to surport this.

but i think you refering to the 75mm Kw.K. 37 L / 24 that fires 2 types of HT rounds?

It strange.
You think this gun cant kill AVRE and create new mod. But not have technical data about 7,5 cm leIG 18 and its ammunition?

I used Russian Wiki http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/7,5_cm_leIG_18
Not know same resource in English

Tiger,

7,5cm leIG18 and 37 had HL/A and HL/B HEAT shells.
Same as RA 76mm obr27 and OB-25 (obr43) had HEAT shells.

As the germans liked to make AT/heat ammo for most of the guns having them for 7,5cm leIG18 is not surprising...having it on the battle field for this gun ..that may be differant.

(All data is displayed vs. RHA / FHA plate @ 30°)

 Gr.38 Hl / B
Weight              100 m 500 m 1000 m 1500 m 2000 m
4.57 kg 450 m/s 75 / -- mm 75 / -- mm 75 / -- mm -- / -- mm -- / -- mm

7.5cm I Gr. 38 H1 / A
Weight              100 m 500 m 1000 m 1500 m 2000 m
3.05 kg 345 m/s 47mm / -- mm 47mm / -- mm 47mm / -- mm -- / -- mm

i have put ammo types here but have not read anywere that it fired Gr.38 Hl / B  only Gr. 38 H1 / A
but i am not saying that it didnot!

Dima must have infomation about the 7.5cm leIG18   using Gr.38 Hl / B

I must say i did think the AVRE was the MKVII hull but its the lighter MKIII

ARMOR AVRE Mk.IV Churchill AVRE MK III hull
Assembly Welding & Riveting
Armor Detail (from the horizontal)  Front Side Rear Top/Bottom
Hull 89 mm / 65°(nose) 76 mm / 90° 64 mm / 90° 19 mm / 0°
Superstructure 38 mm / 25° (glacis)
102 mm / 86° (driver) - - 19 mm / 0°
Turret 89 mm / 90° 89 mm / 90° 89 mm / 90° 35 mm / 0°
Mantlet - - -

also in the GJS mod the crocks do suffer the same as the AVRE by this over raited 7.5cm inf gun

ARMOR Crocodile Mk.IV Churchill Mk.VII
Assembly Welding & Riveting
Armor Detail (from the horizontal)  Front Side Rear Top/Bottom
Hull 140 mm / 65°(nose) 57 mm / 90° 50 mm / 90° 19-25 mm / 0°
Superstructure 57 mm / 25° (glacis)
152 mm / 86° (driver) - - 16-19 mm / 0°
Turret 152 mm / 90° 95 mm / 90° 95 mm / 90° 20 mm / 0°
Mantlet - - -

it was possible for the gun to kill a AVRE if the HL/b ammo fitted this gun, but unlikely needed to be close because this inf gun was very inaccurate (short barrel) shots like a shotgun

and as u can see pentration data is the best it will do on a good day!

in my mod the Gr.38 Hl / B is used but still have no infomation that it was used by this inf gun only the other 75mm guns

Tiger,

1) most of AVRE were Churchill IV.
2) 75mm you states for HEAT is for 30deg. For 90deg it will be higher. So either have all the KR as 30deg or all as 90deg.
3) Crocs were indeed Churchill VII but they had cast turrets thus making their armor weaker.
