  Multiplayer: Clash Of Steel Tournament
Posted on Wed Apr 19, 2006 6:39 am by CavScout
Multiplayer Online

I'd like to introduce a new event to the CC5 community called Clash of Steel. What is Clash of Steel exactly? It is a mixture of ladder play and tournaments that involve head to head tank battles.

I developed Clash of Steel with the idea in mind of having some sort of short competitive event for those who do have a lot of time for a lengthy game, or want to fill in time while waiting to participate in a group GC.

Clash of Steel uses maps and tanks from the GJS (v4.4) CC5 modification, and each match is set for 5 minutes of furious WWII tank warfare. The tournament theme is that of a German Panzer soldier, who works his way up from a lowly driver to the ultimate Panzer Commander.

Clash of Steel offers the opportunity to prove your worth as a tank fighter by ladder play, as well as tournament championships. Decorations are rewarded to members who excel in this event. You are not required to play a minimum number of games, which allows you to fit games in when you have time.

The Clash of Steel event has officially launched today! So if you are interested in joining the fun, then sign up to become a member. The current site is located here http://www.geocities.com/cc5_clashofsteel/ and you can also access the forum here http://41.freebb.com/clashofsteel/for more information.

“Clash of Steel” a été officiellement lance aujourd’hui.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
