Heilbronn, Germany. The US 100th Division crossed the river Neckar here and moved into Heilbronn on the 4th of April 1945. They met with heavy resistance as a ragtag of German units decided to fight back from the ruins of the city that was levelled by Allied bombing. The fighting lasted until 12th April.

Easy one!!! Well done!
The Battle of Heilbronn isn't important in any decisive or tactical sense of the word, but it's important because it is the last place that the Germans fought any significant defense against Allied invaders in Germany, the soldiers of the 100th division who fought there and other Americans in the war nicknamed it. ''The last place to die.''
In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
