Ok, I found the location on Google Maps. References call the area Chora.

Quick Wiki reference pulls up The Battle of Chora. June 15 to 19, 2007. Kala Kala, Nyazi and Sarab police posts. Lists ISAF casualties as 1 American, 1 Aussie, 2 Dutch, 16 Afghanis, 58 civilians, and an unknown number of Taliban.

I'm guessing I've hit it on the head. :)

Yes thats correct,

Chora is the 2nd biggest region in Uruzgan after Tarin Kowt. Some police posts where over taken by taliban forces. The actions which took place after this where for the dutch army the largest combat actions since korea in the 1950's

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Chora

This battle has been in the news for a long time because of the rather large amount civilian kills. wich where believed to be caused by dutch actions. but later on where credited to the fog of war or actions of the insurgents.

Dutch forces:
42 Bn Limburgse Jagers (2 coy's)
Air Assault Brigade (1 coy)
ATF (Air taskforce F16 and Apache)
14 Artillery Bn (1 pltn)

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched

found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat

helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
