Very close! You got the location right but not the background story about this particular sector of the Peel-Raam defence line.
The battle at Mill was fought here (http://www.waroverholland.nl/index.php?page=the-battle-at-mill) .http://www.stichtingsporenvandeoorlog.nl/gilaworks/p10pdf/Trein.pdf. The straight line in the center of the image actually used to be a railway track along which a German armored train broke through and which unloaded a battalion of infantry in the rear of the defenses. Upon it's return the train was derailed on the spot where the track crosses the canal and a battle ensued with the train crew and the infantry battalion. Later on Dutch reinforcements joined in the fighting.
The canal was specifically constructed as a defensive canal with casemates of various types strung along with intervals of several hundreds of meters as well as a trenchline.
I actually just returned from a quick visit this morning and found Mooxe's reply!

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
