Hmm the Maginot line wasn't 1200k long. neigther was the siegfried line (westwall) or the atlantik wall wich was about 2600...

Judgibg from the stones and terrain it might suggest that we are looking at a fortification wich should be in the northern half of europe... but thats just a wild guess.

The stones in the bunker are most likely a clue... I know i've seen these in the ardennes. but there isn't much space over there for a 1200k long line... the only place i could actually think of is on the eastern front. maybe this could be a defense line build by the soviets in order to repel the upcoming german assault?

cheers

Well i have a general idea,

I found a photo of a similar looking bunker in souther finland. This one should be the salpa line wich stretched over 1200k from south to north of finland.

I've tried to check out panoramio but coudnt find the actual photo

I would of said Maginot as well but Buck brings up some good counter points. We do know that this section of whatever this is, is for tourism because of the barbed wire entanglement looking so new.

I go with Finland

It could have been in siegfried
and only line other than those in that kind of forest I think it would be in Finland/russian border

Hey Mooxe, Pagskier.

I have been looking on panoramio for this line. There is this one guy who has a dozen of photo's of this line. But this one doesn't re occur there... I have been checking the line out on Google earth I was able to find 1 museum but that one didn't have this photo.

But i'm quite sure were are talking finland. I'll try to keep on looking.

Cheers Buck

It's from finnish Salpa-line. From Luumäki perhaps?

Correct, its a Salpaline (Salpalinja) in Finland, which was planned to be last defensive line of Finland, but didnt ever saw a battle as Soviet troops were stopped before that line.

It´s great to see that these places are still well kept.
