  MMCC3 King Tiger Defeated!
Posted by webmaster on Tue Jul 06, 2010 1:05 am (comments? | AAR | Score: 0)
After Action Reports The battle started with me being outnumber and out gunned. From previous battles I knew there would be a King Tiger hunting me down somewhere. I could only afford a couple bazooka teams to take, the 57mm ATG and 76mm Sherman were with me for awhile. They both needed rest, since I was low on points I couldnt afford to let them rest. The battle started out with my 76 and 57 pointing south towards the houses, that tag team of guns should be of been able to hand atleast one or two medium tanks as the timer started. Turns out there was nothing. I ran my men into both two story houses in the hamlet, zooks followed after a few minutes. Thats when the King Tiger came into view. Both zooks were spotted by numerous other tanks and annihilated right away, that left my 57mm gun in the hedge way out of LOS and a poor 76mm Sherman. The remainder of the game was simply to get a rear end shot on this beast. I'd settle for a side shot to if I had a quick escape route. As the battle waged on, my 76 played cat and mouse with the KT, scoring two hits from the side and rear, one causing damage. At about the four minute mark the KT starts hedgerow bashing North towards my 57mm, I figured there was no chance in hell I'd kill it. the hedgerow was too thick to risk my Sherman looking over the edge for a shot. As the KT lumbered North it came into contact with my 57mm. Four shots were firing, once immobilizing it and another injuring a crew. Smoke was popped about four times right in front of the gun. The KT did not return fire, maybe it couldnt see my gun? At the 30 second mark, the KT crew abandoned ship!

After Action Reports
WE WIN!

The Close Combat Series team of Pvt_Grunt, RD_Deathdealer, Platoon_Michael and MOOXE have dealt a devastating blow to the Allied AI of Wacht Am Rhein! Operation Panzer Tsunami-Earthquake commenced March 16th, 2010. Orders from High Command were simple, press forward despite any cost, bypass and cut off all AI battlegroups. The main objectives were the Allied supply depots on the North and West edges of the area of operations. Victory was swift, humiliating and overwhelming. German intel suggested that the AI had absolutely no chance in surviving the onslaught of human controlled panzerwellen. German battlegroups waded and shook through jumbled AI defense. Often the Germans pushed on without supplies. Ammo and fuel was not a nessecity of this battle and the AI was crushed underneath the heavy tracks of the panzerwellen, the momemtum and ferocity of the German commanders kept the tanks crushing forward.
