Been at CC since 1999. Was intro'd to it in Bosnia in 1998. Bought it as soon as I got home to Canada. Started this site with the four other founders in 2004.

Got hooked on CC in 2001 when i got an install CD from an internet provider with trial versions of microsoft games as goodies.
I must have played that CC2 trial version (only 1 map could be played) dozens of times.
It still amazes me how interested i am in this game and how fun it can be to play it.

I've been fascinated since CC1. The psych modeling is one of the features that make this game so unique!

Started with CC1, but the dream came true with CC2. It took me away from tabletop gaming and miniature painting since then.Together with Tim and others around the world made CC2 and CC3 Great War Mod. Most lasting came on my HD.

...a fascinating game, although its graphics are relatively rotten by now. CC got me when I was first playing "A bridge too far". Wasn`t a computerfan at all, then, but human sounds and behaviour convinced me very fast! In opposite to other realtime games and especially the dumb `egoshooters`, little cc delivers the feelings of soldiers at war. With each death you perish a little bit more and that`s the way wars should be seen.

I used to play the Avalon Hill bookcase game Squad Leader in the 80's, it was a tabletop hexmap game. Problem was you had to determine lines of sight. When cc came along i instantly recognized it, squad leader without the bs!.Can't stop. Just wish we still had the zone.

In 1998 I was introduced to "A Bridge too far", and have been hooked to the series of games since, I regularly replay the games over and over.

Must have played the cc2 demo a thousand times, I played it like 2 hours straight every week after school and then some more on the weekends. Finally one day I got the trilogy, discovered mods for CC3 and I remember waiting like half an hour for a single map to download on a 56k modem from the old CSO page. I tried all the mods I could. Fun times.
