Certainly the better weapon to defend a bunker is a 20 mm cannon (if it have double cannons, it will be a carnage). "My better anti-infantry soldiers use 20mm cannon as the recognition vehicles, pz II etc..."

I picked MG 42, but being honest, I had many doubts- each weapon has it's advantages against certain composition of attacking enemy troops and terrain. Sniper rifle would be a good choice if pointed at few grunts at a long range, but it's useless against a Red Army- style human wave. Any MG, except .50 cal won't stop any armoured vehicles; trying to stop an infantry in rough terrain with 20 mm would also be hard unless assaulting soldiers wouldn't bother with ducking and covering. Indirects against single people wouldn't work, and so on, and so on.
MG 42's rate of fire and reliability is all I could dream of if defending against infantry; if enemy had any tanks, the only reasonable choice among those listed in poll, would be "smoke and coffee" tough :)

awwww...noone bothered to put the choice of an old fashioned british tea party set... lets face it , if youre stuck camping in a bunker with some mates for a WHILE , might as well make the most of it and have a good old fashioned brew going
