I voted CCIII
Well, it was first CC I ever played back in 2001 (during my conscript army duty).
It´s more fast tempo than CCV.
And I also like commander radius thing (better than in CCV).
In CCIII you want to spare your infantry and play with much more cautious.

I first played CC3 thought it was an amazing strategy game when it was released, when CC4 was released i naturally bought a copy but was very dismayed to see you couldnt build your own battlegroups, the strategic map movement was a fantastic innovation, i cant imagine playing cc without it now. CC5 is clealy the best, but i guess everyone sees this as obvious since all the good mods are built onto it. CC Wacht am rhein is a twist on cc5 and cc4, i reccomend buying it to anyone who is a fan of cc5. The AI is aggressive and to a degree much smarter than any other AI ive played against with the exception perhaps of the AI's created by panzerjager.. However the range and quality of the infantry units is limited, very littel variation e.g. mostly just 5 man teaems, strat map is massive aswell, you can create large scale encirclements of the enemy whilst being encircled yourself. just isnt the room to do that on the cc5 mods ive seen.
I still can't get enough of CC3. For me it's like RPG game, where I have small squad of partisans and BT-5 (playing Russians) and through all hard battles they get experience and transform into unstoppable war machine :)

I voted for CCMT because it's easy to mod and doesn't have the strategic minigame.
But the AI is still non-functional and vehicle-pathfinding is still very poor.
It misses too much features to be a good platoon leader simulation.

CC2 ABTF for sure! The best campaign structure;
tight, action packed maps; and nice for modeling Battlemaker Scenarios.
BTW, I hate that movie (Remagen :P )

Of course CCS is a site long based on CC5, so no big suprise in the voting outcome so far! ;
CC5 I accept as the most popular version with the strat map and mods.
Personally picked CC2, which when it came out was so popular and to this day has the best AI of any version of the game.
CC5 strat map is way too small.
Need a decent sized strat like WaR... even elongated strats like tLD or LSA are better than CC5's tiny strat.

Dreaded88 CC3 mods were the best IMO. I wish he would finish France 1940 one day.

Simulate WW2 in any theatre with a Great Scenario Editor.
My favourite is CC2, because it is the onliest CC game for Mac’s.

CCIII one. Best fight mechanics. Significant correlation weapons.
It's hard to play, constantly need to move forward. For example now mastering the indirect shots from the flamethrower and the use of a dead zone of tank cannons. And there is a need for the game.
