always go for control of the roads, even if you can sneak a weak bg in on the flank and disrupt supply to the front line this will totally dislocate front line defense/attack.
Theoretically, it is possible to pay attention to only one aspect and succeed. In my practice was such that it was enough just to give due attention to the road or support services. But the fact is that if you want to achieve guaranteed success, you should pay attention to all of the above
