The heights not only dominated the whole area, and thus needed to be denied to the enemy, they were also right along the German border, and the Reichswald. G-2 (intelligence) estimates that counter-attacks up to division strenght can be expected within one to two days after landing.Groesbeek Heights - 0900 19 September 1944 to 1800 20 September 1944 The Allies have launched a major airborne operation, and have established themselves around Nijmegen, just across the border in Holland. The II.Fallschirmjaeger Korps are on the way to reinforce us, but in the meantime we must counter- attack with the forces at hand: rear-area training and replacement troops under the command of an ad-hoc headquarters, Korps Feldt. çÿÿÿÿ ÿÿ ÿÿ &ÿÿ ÿþ%çÿ&ÿÿ'ÿ(ÿ)ÿ*ÿÿÿÿÿ&ÿÿ
