North Arnhem provides the cushion you need to hold the bridge until reinforcements arrive. The Market plan calls for 4th Parachute Brigade to secure and defend this sector of the bridgehead.  Use the buildings to your advantage and make the enemy pay dearly for every building.  Using the element of surprise lay ambushes for their tanks.  Wait until they get in close then spring your trap.
Taking control of the bridges requires taking control of the city.  You must weed out any enemy resistance you find.  To leave even a few stragglers behind our main lines will mean our advance on the bridges can be thwarted.  Keep your tanks close enough to support your infantry but far enough back that the enemy anti-tank teams won't be able to get close enough to be effective.
