The Arnhem Bridge is the grand prize.  If XXX Corps can cross here it could mean a swift end to the war.  The Market plan calls for 1st Parachute Brigade to secure the bridge and a bridge head on the south bank.  Once you have it, hold until relieved.  Expect the Germans to throw everything they have into recapturing this vital bridge.
The Arnhem Bridge is clearly the main objective of the British airborne force. Denying them the bridge is of the utmost importance.  If enemy reinforcements can cross here in strength our entire position in Holland may crumble.  We also need this bridge to move our own forces southward to launch a counter-attack.  Expect the enemy to fight fiercely. Use your tanks, mortars, and artillery to blast them out of their positions, house by house, if you have to.
