The Market plan calls for one battalion of the 101st Airborne to land in this area and attack eastward to take Veghel and the bridge from the north side of the canal.  Re-occupying the Dinther area later will help keep the main Market-Garden corridor through Veghel secure.  Expect enemy reinforcements to arrive from 's-Hertogenbosch. Establish a good defensive position and give them a warm reception.
From Dinther we can strike eastward and cut the Allied corridor at Veghel.  Play for time until you have a reasonable force assembled, then strike quickly.  If you can capture or destroy the Veghel bridge the Allied drive may be fatally stalled.
