Capture of the Maas river bridge at Grave is the primary objective of the  US 504th Parachute Infantry.  The plan calls for Company "E" to drop southwest of the bridge, on Drop Zone E, and seize the south end.  The rest of the 2nd battalion will move to take the north end.  Expect enemy security troops and flak guns to be defending the area.  The Maas bridge at Ravenstein is technically outside the 82nd Airborne sector, but it may be our only option if we fail to capture the Grave bridge.
The Grave Bridge is one of two bridges in the area that will allow the Allied advance to move quickly across the Maas river.  High Command has ordered the bridge to be held at all costs.  Destroy it only if the bridge is about to fall into enemy hands.  It is unlikely we will have a chance to counter-attack in this area, but if you can re-capture this bridge all the enemy airborne units north of the Maas can be cut off.
