The Nijmegen bridges are our only viable way across the river Waal.  It is vital they be taken intact. Your thinly stretched US 82nd Airborne will have to weaken the defenses on the Groesbeek Heights to spare troops for the job.  Do that job as quickly as you can -- the Germans are sure to rush reinforcements to defend the bridges.  If the German defenses are too stiff, you might consider making an assault crossing to the west of the city, and seizing the bridges from both ends at once.
II.SS Panzer Korps has ordered that Nijmegen become the focal point of our effort to stop the Allied breakthrough.  The security, training, and flak units guarding the city are too weak to withstand a major attack.  Rush your veteran SS units, as many as can be spared, down from Arnhem to bolster the defenses.  If you can concentrate a sufficient force and halt the Allied spearheads here, their entire plan will collapse.  Army Group B has ordered that the Nijmegen bridge is not to be destroyed, though it is to be prime for emergency demolitions.   Blowing the bridges will make a counter-attack south of the Waal all but impossible.
