The primary objective of the US 506th Parachute Infantry is to seize the Wilhelmina Canal bridge at Son, securing a crossing for XXX Corps.  The only other crossing in the 101st sector is the bridge at Best.  Once the bridge is secured push on south to Eindhoven and link up with XXX Corps.  Expect German counter-attacks as the operation goes on -- if they can capture or destroy the canal bridges this far south it will wreck havok with the whole operation!
The Wilhelmina Canal bridge at Son must not fall into enemy hands!  Although your local force from the Hermann Goering Division training battalion is weak, do what you can to hold the bridge. Blow it up only if the situation is hopeless.  If the bridge is lost you must gather your forces and counter-attack. Denying the allies the Son bridge will isolate enemy forces north of the canal.
