St. Oedenrode, and the Dommel river bridge, are the primary objective of the US 502nd Parachute Infantry.   You must move rapidly to secure the bridge, before the enemy can destroy it.  Only after the bridge is secure should you clear the rest of the area.   Once St. Oedenrode is in friendly hands it will make a good central position from which to defend the corridor through the 101st Airborne sector.
Do what you can to hold the Dommel river bridge using the rear area troops at hand.  Should this prove impossible, destroy the bridge rather than allow it to fall into the hands of the enemy.  St. Oedenrode will make a good target for a later counter-attack, after we have mustered the necessary forces.  Secure it and we cut the main Allied route through to their airborne forces further north.
