Just wanted to let you know that Bloody Omaha V12 is being uploaded to http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/index.php and should be available to download soon.

Just a heads up to avoid problems make sure you;
1) Download IsignyBo & StPierBo maps and have them and all the original Bloody Omaha maps in the maps directory before installing the mod as some updated .btd, .txt and .los files will be installed by the plugin.
2) Have a Videos directory in your close combat game directory or you will get a plugin install error
3) Read the Readme.txt

Happy New Year!

It's up. Thanks Mooxe!

For IsignyBo & StPierBo could you add them as a seperate download? It will save the site and the people downloading 356MB if they have already downloaded the map pack before....

The two new maps are available individually on the individual maps pages. I got them from there so that I did not have to download the entire map pack again. Smile

Thanks for the heads up ColonelRick!

The renamed maps; IsignyBO.zip and StPierBO.zip, are available under the Bloody Omaha individual map download section; http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=55

Sorry for any confusion. In the middle of adding the new files I had a severe harddrive crash (only god knows why) and my main pc is still unusable. So it took quite awhile to add the files. The main maps file does not contain the 2 new maps yet but just the old ones. I cant fix this yet but hopefully redscorpion can.

The main plugin file and all individual maps are good to go!

All 3 new files were created using Winzip 9.0. I just download both the maps and they open fine with it. I also tested with WinRAR 3.3 and it opens all 3 files....

L4W,

I downloaded the mega maps file and everything unzipped for me with no errors. As I have seen no error reports from anyone else since the file was put up a few months ago I think it may of gone corrupt when you were downloading it.

fenderbender,

What version of config manager are you running? What OS?

This seems to be the same problem you had with Meuse v3.3 as your system does not like wildcards and/or a blank destination filename in the install.txt.

If you haven't changed anything; ex. uninstalled CC or installed another mod, you can get Bloody Omaha installed by doing the following;

1) Got to the BloodyOmahaV12 directory under the config manager
2) Open install.txt
3) Scroll down till you see the copy command for *.btd
4) Manually copy all the .btd files from the BloodyOmahaV12 directory under the config manager to your maps directory in your Close Combat 5 installation directory
5) Read the next line in the install.txt and follow the script (from memory I believe it's copy *.los)
6) repeat step 5 for each additional line in the install.txt

OPTIONAL:
7) Rename your Close Combat directory BloodyOmahaV12 (to play online this directory will have to be renamed to the regular CC5 installation directory you specify in the next step)
Cool Reinstall Close Combat 5 and the 5.01 patch

I downloaded the full map pack tonight and was able to open it without error using Winzip v9.0 and WinRAR v3.3. All the files from the site for Bloody Omaha v1.2 are fine on the server.

Tejszd

I've got the 1.3 v of config manager, and I use Xp Pro.

Can I follow the same steps with the Meuse mod Rolling Eyes

Yes, you could do the same thing with Meuse to get it installed. The install.txt is just a scipt that tells the plugin manager what to copy and to what directory. Example;

map rename $CC\CC5.exe $CC\CC5.pkp
copy $THIS\CC5.exe $CC\CC5.exe
copy $CC\Data\Battles\Acqueville $ORG\
remove $CC\Data\Battles\*.*
copy $THIS\Mouzon $CC\Data\Battles\

Line 1: "map rename" makes a back up your original CC5.exe
Line 2: "copy" the Meuse CC5.exe to the CC directory
Line 3: "Copy" makes a copy of the battle file under the plugin manager
Line 4: "remove" is used to delete all original battles as they will not work with Meuse
Line 5: "copy" Meuse battle to the CC\data\battles directory

In the end you can have BloodyOmaha, Meuse and regular CC5 all installed.

just letting u know i got my version of b.o v 1.2 up and running.
took some pics and posted them in the new b.o combat camera section.
also was wandering why hasnt someone already put the IsignyBO & StpierBO map files into the complete map download?
It will just take some1 to unzip the bomap zip and remove the 2 maps and place the 2 renamed maps and zip it up again and will make future installs less confusing.
not to mention less downloaded.
