Please direct me to where I'd find this answer if it's already posted, but what version(s) of CC do I need to make use of the information in this forum?

I love the game and would love to make use of everyone's generous postings here, but I don't know where to start.

I have CC1 and CC2. Thanks!

You can go to the download section/CC2 mods and play vs AI. Or you can
download gamespy and play head to head vs human competition. You can also go to tournament house site/dl power lobbies and play h2h there. Post in
the forums any other questions you have and all the great guys here will do
their best to help you out I am sure, plus let you no all the small/confusing
things you need to know to play online. Hope this helps and welcome to the
forums. Very Happy

Best Regards, Greg

Thanks Greg -- any other particular version that I should get to maximize what I can do with it?

One other question: are there mods or scenarios or maps created for CC1?

CC5 has the most mods, so you might want to see about getting that.

Don't know about CC1 stuff, sorry.

I assume you are asking what is needed to play the Custom Scenarios contained in this thread. Looking over the scenarios most all appear to be based on Mods for CCV.

So you need the following:
1. You need to get Close Combat Invasion Normandy (CCV)

2. You need to download Mods of interest and install them via the config manager. Following are the instructions to do that for GJS:
http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=3

3. Download the Custom Scenarios of interest and load them into the data/battles folder within your CCV install.

4. If you wish to play a human opponent, you will find a lot of players in GamespyArcade.

Hope this helps.
