PostPosted: Sun Dec 11, 2005 2:04 pm Post subject: Two questions about Battle of Berlin Reply with quote

Hi All,

I have two questions:
1- When I'm creating a campaign in the scenario editor, I can see the german force pool when deploing the battle groups in the map. However, when I start there is a reduction in some of them. The Pz Division"Müncheberg" for instance, have seven Tiger tanks in the scenario editor, and when I start it goes to five. Is it a kind of bug ?
2- Why there are no jagdpanthers and jagdtigers in the german battle groups? They would help a lot to deal with the russian tanks.

Cheers,
Rob

The historical campaign already exists....
Don't get me wrong, for me this is the best mod to play against AI.
But what about the Jagdpanthers ?
And the number of german units in the scenario editor? Confused

Cheers,
Rob

Thanks for your support!

About the bug in the scenario editor, cant answer right know, must chech it up.
About the Jagd vehicles, when i started on Berlin mod i had plans on putting them in but feldgrau told me there were not any of these vehicles at Berlin, but i dont know....

I have reworked the mod to Version 2, changed a lot of Datas (thanks to Dima), reworked stratmap with two more Russian entry maps in the east.Russ109 has worked on new vehicles (to get rid of the stupid graphics i made) fixed the bug with the white smoke vehicles and replaced one of the BG;s with the French "Charlemagne" Division.

There are two Camps in the mod; one historical and one what if, with units from the surronded 9th Army in the south reaching Berlin..

Right now we are working on Karelia II and i cant say if Berlin version 2 ever will be finnished.Making mods takes a looooot of time and maybe i will have to retire after Karelia because i want to keep my family intact. But i see on the forums there are so many others that seems to have a lot of experirence to make mods so i think the future for CC is good!

Cheers Mats

Hi sapa,

Just a suggestion, but why not release the 1.2 version as an interim upgrade just before Xmas, for us all to enjoy, provided we all understand that it is an interim version and not yet totally complete ?

Regards, Mike

I was reading "Arms of Destruction" , and realy enjoyed this book that makes a comparative study of the best weapons of WWII.
There is a chapter about tank destroyers, and the author describes the Jagdpanther and the SU-100 as the best of them.
I was wondering if we could see them in action together in version 2.

Rob

If Sapa decides to take up the reins of Berlin 2 again, which I am sure he will once Karelia 2 is finished, tested and released to his satisfaction then the SU100 will I believe be in the mod, as the graphic has already been made.

As for the JagdPanther and JagdTiger, not sure about them in the main mod but they could be available for people to make their own missions etc via the scenario editor, its Sapa's call on that one.

it is documentaly proven that remains of 653 sAbt took it's last action at Berlin in May 1945.

at least 1 of those JagdTigers was captured and now located in Kubinka.
