Ok, were all set for Friday.
Here is the RD roster of guys that have signed up and committed to 2 games per week.
Skybouncer
VonUther
Jack
Oddball
Roach
Mueller
Loki
Helmut
HerrKreiss
derChancellor
I have also attached a file that can be unzipped and Downloaded into MSN messenger so you will have all RD members playing addresses - easy way to hook up.
Once again, most RD members will NOT be sitting in Gamespy. So if you dont have MSN messenger, you will have problems finding regular games. Hopefully, this will avoid issues we had with people providing bogus MSN addresses.
RULES (same):
-15 min battles
-Moral off
-Never act on initiative
-No limits
-No reinforce
-All victory locations and 2 mins warning.
-VL deploy rule (ie areas not connected to friendly VL are off limits)
-Crashed battles will be replayed by two other players.
The attackers (Italians) will host every battle, when they can.
We do NOT practice battles or look at the other side of an Op (for any reason).

As I dont think we have any chance to win the current Op, I see no point in continuing the inevitable. The players from the Mercs that played in the Op I thought played the new mod very well, and we all learned something about AFRIKA - which was the goal of this endeavor.
For some reason, the Italian guns and forces couldnt seem to do anything.
I know the Brits had better position due to the move into Sidi Omar, which may have been a contributing factor, but if there are some secrets to the getting the guns, et to work - we'd love to know.
Anyway, great job - and once again thanks to Zappi and Mooxe for organizing and those who contributed.

Good games to everyone....
I was happy to see all the mercs come out of the woodwork and dedicate alot of time to play.
I dont believe we had any or much success with our Italian guns vs heavy armour (Matildas). I know our 20mm chewed up infantry alot. I know alot of the success from Round 1 vs British armour was due to support and 45mm mortars.

Thanks to all for their participation in this hard fought War. Both sides did an honorable job representing their teams.
Thanks to Mooxe, Zappi, and Helmut for setting up this war and to all the officers of both sides.
In terms of secrets with the guns, we found the 47/32 to be the most effective ATG. But no special tactic was employed there.
The only thing that we found that could kill the Matildas were 45mm mortar teams. When 3 teams (9 tubes) were grouped together, they were very effective vs a Matilda, assuming they were within 200m range and fired all 9 tubes together. It helped if there was LOS as well.
