Hello,
I have a beta version of a map I call Lausdell Crossroads uploaded at the ftp site Mooxe is gracious to let me use.
I havent tried it with VETBoB yet,so I don't know if it is compatable with that mod.
It replaces Simmerath.
Just back-up your Simmerath map, then delete the Smmrth.rfm file and drop in the new map files.
So far it has played out rather well.
If you try it out please let me know if theres any improvement needed,I don't mind criticism at all.I don't understand Mafi's 5CC for the .los of Soldier viewing Soldier and etc etc or if it makes a differance so I'll just stick with this .los file for now.
OK , So I finally got CC4 working again. I havent played it since I did XP SP2. I got out my original disc (from the break glass alarm box ) and it installed OK. Replaced the map, it took a few tries as I'm rusty, but the map is running.
I like the map, glad you've got the sides of the roads looking good, it takes a lot of trial and error. As far as the los files go, I dont know the difference between rtb tool and C3, but the one here works well, as you can see by the tree and crater blocking my Panzer Leader
Luckilly I also have a Mark IV, CC4 is good to the Germans!
The only criticism is the large open field area in the SW of the map, it looks like a killing zone, no cover. But maybe thats how you wanted it!
Great to see the map come to life, I still have a few maps half done.....one day.... one day..
I have been wondering about that field too.It may be too much open space well see.
I may change a few VL's too (maybe)
However the current VL locations does make the AI move the way I wanted it to.
I do hope you find that itch to finish those maps.I don't have the pic anymore but I do remeber the one map.
I've started another map already" Rail Road station" this time.I have no photographs of rail road stations in Belgium so it's gonna be a wing it kinda deal. But should be a blast if I can get it done right.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
