|
|
I have created an icon library of World War Two weapons for the CCV ScrnGadg.gdg and GameGadg.gdg files which is free to use for non-commercial purpose only.
I will see if can upload the library to this site and/or to closecombat.org and I will be happy just to send them by e-mail if anyone wants that instead.
Appearences of the icons may differ depending on screen brightness, gamma etc. as I discovered earlier last year when I bought a new Widescreen TFT monitor where they all appeared dimmer and stretched when playing CCV so just for the sake of completeness I have included every versions of individual weapon icons I have made, even the bad ones
Enjoy
I do plan to add further weapons to the list but here is the list of completed weapon Icons I have created so far:

Great news!
Congrats for finally completing your hard work!
I'd like to 'order' a pack send to my e-mail please
(I'll e-mail you ASAP with the request).
BTW, if you're using a widescreen LCD screen...you can configure your graphics adapter settings so that non-widescreen aps appear normal (not stretched)...they will appear with black borders on the left and right.
As for the gameplay screen...CC supports widescreen res...you might need to use regedit to manually set the widescreen res.
I don't like widescreen LCDs myself...because I mainly use it to play CC |

Thanks mate
There are over 1200 files and I am not going to convert them all to .JPG - Perhaps I will convert 1 of each weapon into .JPG and post them here but not today or tomorrow
It was the plan from the begiinning to post the weapon list with associated images but my priamry concern was to publish the icons first then the other thing later on :zzz |

Actually there's no need...save maybe for display purpose on the web.
All the individual weapons artwork files are named according to each weapon type (and sometimes variant).
BTW, Rogue5...I haven't finished sorting through the stuff to pick out new designs to replace my old selection. This is WW2 weapons gallery overkill! |

It is for displaying on the web that I want to convert some of the files to the .JPG format but I am not sure that I am goiing to do it due to the fact that for those who wants to use my images needs a graphics editor that can handle .tga files so they are already able to see the images. But then again I might just do it after all just for the hell of it - will take time though |

I have Irfanview and it has an option for converting multiple images, you just select them and start the process, I don't know how to use it well though because I tried converting 20 jpg's to png and it gave me errors lol. You have to configure a lot of options before you start the converting process and I don't know much about images. |

Something funny. I was just recently reading MF 7-10 and it states that infantry squads carry one 1903 to use with AT grenades. In this list the only rifle/carbine with no grenade launcher option is the 1903.
Quote:
|
Rifle M1903.--One M1903 rifle is furnished to each rifle squad for use in firing the antitank rifle grenade. This rifle can also be used for firing at ground and air targets with caliber .30 ammunition.
