|
|
Hi all, I have a problem. For some reason the Mod Swap function on the COI Command Center doesn't seem to work, so I can't install the mods. I have a sneaking suspicion it had to do with the java stuff it wanted to install during installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

It means you cancelled the installation before it completed!
run CloseCombatCC.exe from your \support folder.
C:\Program Files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\Support\CloseCombatCC.exe |

I'm trying to install the Great War mod, but actually it is having trouble installing the mod. When I go to install it, it says:
Error. Could not install the file Elements.txt into the destination C:\Program Files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\data\base. Installation aborted.
I'm also having trouble installing DOF v2 with config51 for CCIII. It says:
Failed to copy System\Packages\DOF_v2_MAIN\CC3.exe to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Close Combat III\CC3.exe (Error code = 5)
Any ideas? |

let's run through things step by step.
What OS are you running?
CoI stock runs fine without any mods?
ModSwap can install Poland '39 without error.
You Load CoI and you see all new graphics from Poland '39
You click on "Play a Game"
It then crashes?
What is the full error message... exactly!
Can you please post here the contents of these two folders.
C:\Program Files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\Games\Battles\
C:\Program Files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\Games\Save\ |

Vista 32bit
Yes, without.
Yes, I see
Yes, when I click play a game
error:
"The Close Combat CD is required to play this game.
Insert the Close Combat CD and click OK,
or click Cancel to exit the program,"
If I click twice Cancel I have another error:
"Close Combat was unable to open the file:
C:PROGRAM~1\CLOSEC~1\CLOSEC~1\Maps\Lvov1.mmm"
Battles folder is empty
Save folder has only one save "Grand Campaign" (not from the game with mod) |

it works fine, thank you very much!
When I launched this mod for the first time and I have heard "o mój rozmarynie" song, I was crying like a child. There are even polish voices and diacritics in surnames. |
