No problems so far; turn 1 almost completed, just a small lag from time to time when scrolling during setup. Could as well be my own system... And no crashes!

I think that you are speaking us about directplay, WAR not use it. I think that it is the worse from game, probably the unique bad thing from it. I do not understand how they have not added this.

The problem might not be a developer issue as I believe Microsoft has removed support for some of the old DirectX features in DirectX 10.
As for the original question WAR worked fine the 1st time for me. Then again I already had CC2-5, COI and CCMT working through my firewall....

I agree, WAR runs on multiplayer without directplay. The unique big difference is the load, I have seen that battles load slower, probably because there are more data.

??????????????????????? Okay, If so, what are you doing, trying to silensing the complains??
Now serious:
I and one of my gaming mate have problems with H2H connect, I thought that was obvious by the post...
SO I was thinking, if there was someone else have trubble connect H2H, thay may also share there trubble in this specific regard, and the fine part of this would be if some had trubble, and they fixed it, thay may share it with us...
Is that ok with you TJ?

I attempted to play via serial versus my son and it would never connect. It would never bring up the "con and port" screen. now maybe its because its "serial number" specific and I can't install the same game on two PC's like I can with classic CCV. But it would be nice to be able to play my son without having to fork out another $40 which I won't do. I have not figured out a solution yet.
I did get the "con and port" window to show up on the hosting PC by configuring the window to "open on top" but I can't get the joining PC to do the same thing.
I have no problem doing this with CCV or any of the mods. I'm trying to expand my son's CC skills so we play via serial cable.

But i give a new try tm... I really whant play this H2H...

Mooxe reported the serial window problem too. Tested today on my PC and it does the same thing as the window does not appear on top off CC.

Do you have Hamachi enabled?
I just had 2 ppl fix their connection by disabling Hamachi
and do the port forward in the router.
