So I bought the game, downloaded, the CD is in the mail... but when I launch the download it I get an error message it is 64 bit incompatable. (I'm running VISTA 64).  Googling for patches or ideas I'm getting stone walled.

Ideas here?  Surely there's a click and a switch to fix this. My search of the forum hits nothing.  My bad.

Many thanks in advance.

I'm runn CoI on 64 bit Vista with no issues.

Try runningin compatibility mode and be sure to run as administrator.

Have you installed to  C:\Program Files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\

I seem to be unable to get past the Atomic Games logo video.  The screen goes dark, I hear the music, but then nothing.  It just hangs there forever with a cursor.  Tried going between compatability of Win 98 and VISTA service pack 2 with Administrative rights, but that all still leads to the frozen video.

OK, I disabled videos and it's running fine now.  Odd bug.  Thanks all!

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
