PostPosted: Thu Jun 30, 2005 9:43 pm Post subject: Battles Don't Exist??! Reply with quote

I got this prompt from my CC5 Configuaration Manager when I attempted to modify Close Combat V from Invasion Normandy to Battle of Berlin:

Failed to copy C:\Program Files\SSI\Close Combat Invasion Normandy\Data\Battles\Acquevile to System\Original\Acqueville because C:\Program Files\SSI\Close Combat Invasion Normandy\Data\Battles\Acqueville does not exist

Now, this is entirely true. My battles folder is totally blank. Yet I've been playing Invasion Normandy on this machine for at least a year and have been able to play Acqueville. So what gives?

Right, I managed to Solve that problem, by copying some files. But now its telling me that those files don't exist, regardless of the fact that I can, in fact, see them.

Now its telling me that the System\Packages\BoBv10\RUNames.txt doesn't exist. I've covered every step I can think of, but this is the one that's totally got me stumped.

you must reinstall CC5 and config manager...

after, you have to do :

copy all berlin maps in Maps folder
copy berlin plugin in config manager...

launch config manager and it should be run well...

I did that so many times. The missing "RUNames.txt" error was what I got after following all the steps perfectly. I finally decide to purge the system of BoB and did GJS instead. That's now working as well as the regular game.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
