Follow these steps exactly and you should have an error free install.

STEP 1

Make a full install of Close Combat 3 The Russian Front to your harddrive, into the default folder. (C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Close Combat III/)

STEP 2

Install the Patch3.0b.zip.

STEP 3

Download the following file from CCS:

Config51.zip - This is Config Manager v5.1. Its used to install plugins into Close Combat 3.

Create a folder to unzip Config51.zip into. In my example I am using Windows 7 Pro and have created the folder "E:/Close Combat/CC3 CfgMgr/."

After you have unzipped CC3 Config Manager to a folder, right click Config51.exe and select properties. Navigate to compatibility and select the box "Run this program as Administrator." This will enable Config Manager to copy and remove files in your CC3 folder.

Download the following files from CCS:

CC3_GW_v1.0_MusicMod_plugin.zip

CC3_GreatWar_v1.0_plugin.zip is the plugin file for the Great War mod. The other files are optional sub mods. I am unzipping them all into into "E:/Close Combat/CC3 CfgMgr/Plugins/." Refer to the picture below for proper folder and file structure.

STEP 4 COMPLETE

STEP 5

Download the following file from CCS:

Unzip this files contents into "C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Close Combat III/Maps/". This file contains the data for all maps required to play the Battles, Campaigns and Operations.

STEP 6

You are now ready to install the mod using Config Manager 5.1. Run the file "E:/Close Combat/CC3 CfgMgr/Config51.exe". Once open you should see "GWv10" in the bottom box labelled not installed. Right click "GWv10" and select "install."

STEP 6 COMPLETE

As long as you followed every step properly you will be ready to play the Great War mod.
