Weird, vinyls are becoming trendy, with people actually paying fortunes for.

Just to say, with a bit more of posting you may reach its magical number of pages full of leading-nowhere arguing!

Very much indeed. Still, Cammo Workshop's SPMBT, SPWW2 and even Matrix's SPWAW are vastly improved versions of steel panthers. They should work under XP, and maybe win 7 as well. Good thing, they're free.

Don't you ever buy the 2. I played the demo and thrown it away in disgust, they clearly made it "for consoles" (horrible interface, crap graphics and arcadish feel). The first one is really good. Not a hardcore RPG, but easy yet complex enough to make it enjoyable...

Beh, we already have the best we could have: CC2 to CC5 and the remakes. They all have their pros and cons, yet those are of the best wargames i've ever played.
I don't think they're releasing CC6 anytime soon nor far and I don't really care...

You guys are just blood craving idiots, and this is what our modern society produces.

I'm actually baffled by how a whole nation can walk out on the street and celebrate one guys death, as if it suddenly made the whole world brighter.

This makes me sick, and even more sick that you celebrate violence.

That's what i was thinking, yet i won't cry his death. A bastard less on earth, but that won't fix it.

There's a bunch of people out there like ernie that seem to think critizising america automatically makes you anti-american, even when those speaking are american.

Honestly, the game is fun the first hour, then i just came to hate it. I believe the pathfinding is even worse than CC's, at least armoured units.
On the graphic side, it's really beautiful and you can see the impacts on the vehicles/destroy buildings or fences with the tanks.

I don't have it installed anymore and don't plan to, but you can always get the demo see if you can use it for the main vehicles, and try it yourself...

Blah blah blah matrix games bad, blah blah blah remakes bad, blah blah blah originals rule, over and over again.

Know what, matrix/cso simtek are the only ones that have put time and money into Close Combat, wich is the strategy games series I (and supposedly we) love, after Atomic dropped it. I have the remakes and the boxed originals (well, at least CCV) and enjoy them all with their bugs and mistakes.
So what's the point of all this crap? If rereleasing the classics is the way to CC6, fine, go for it. If it's just about the dirty money and there won't be no CC6, fine again, we got the games running stable under newer OS. Thanks atomic for the originals, simtek for the remakes, mooxe for the site and modders for the mods.
