If Australia adopted a zero tolerance of illegal boat people, it would save thousands of people from drowning at sea.

From memory the passage is "go and sin no more". At least in the King James version of the fable. Of course the " let ye who is without sin cast the first stone" passage would infer that those who would, would have broken the law, as it wasnt Roman law that adultery was punishable by death. So they would have been charged with murder, much as our laws are now, and thank god for that(excuse the pun).
