I am sorry for being stupid, but how to access the readme file?
Have no issues with it, was involved in making of it w Homba and others - had a memory tsunami after reading this.

I am afraid it isnt. Thorsfew and I tried again. He installed the patches in order required, and his troops read the 3.4 extension. It would mean that 2.0b had to be installed in order to install 3.4. Anyways, we werent able to connect either via GR or direct conn. My 1945 are open.

Any ideas anyone?

Just to add, thorsfew and I tried connecting directly and via Game Ranger. Both approaches failed.
Please help us, if you know how to work around that stuff. I need my cc2 fix ASAP!

Nice, I am online (GameRanger) weekends. I guess we are some 11-12 hrs apart (Antony_nz) and in my experience it is a big enough difference to make something happen. I hope we bump in each other soon.

I can recommend two G. Grigsby's games:
1) Carrier Strike (1992) + addon:

Carrier Strike: http://www.myabandonware.com/game/carrier-strike-south-pacific-1942-44-1cy
CS addon: http://www.myabandonware.com/game/carrier-strike-add-on-36o

Manual is a must. You can DL it from the same page as the basic game edition.

2) Gary Grigsbys Pacific War: http://www.myabandonware.com/game/gary-grigsbys-pacific-war-1et
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Grigsby%27s_Pacific_War

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Grigsby%27s_Pacific_War
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mooxe, Carrier Strike fits your description - it covers the operational and the tactical level of naval fighting in the southern Pacific.

Also, there's a nice online game - Fighting Flattops: http://www.fightingflattops.com/index.php

Looking for opponents. Single-battles, ops or GCs, anything goes.
I have some two dozen scenarios, balanced and battle tested through some 9 years of TH ladder addiction. I play on Game Ranger, and my nick there is BoroXXX.
I am in CET (Central European Time) zone, and my playing nights are Fridays or Saturdays.
If you are up for some cc2 action post here, or send me a message.

There are a few major mistakes in this story.
The 97 BG was in Biskra, Algeria, at the time, as a part of XII Air Force, and the group was there since before Christmas 1942. They had no business going all the way to England!
The plane that hit All American B-17 was FW-190, not Me-109.

check out pages 7;10-12:

http://books.google.hr/books?id=Kj54qUKgvrgC&pg=PA16&lpg=PA16&dq=lt+kendrick+r+bragg&source=bl&ots=ln1rp73SAE&sig=-HxmVXSM3AnfaUWcJNG0ieLCLVw&hl=en&sa=X&ei=C5InUP2hMIWi8gTR44CQDg&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=lt%20kendrick%20r%20bragg&f=false

Also, the P-51A deliveries begun in March 1943, and this encounter happened in February.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
