Wow; it looks hard for the allies. you have to hold out with 5 BGs of armoured cars and recon squads for 75% of the campaign then strike hard and fast at the end. The amount of mortar fire the Italians can lay down is huge as well. Then the mortar squads are also 9 man rifle squads. I like it but it looks challenging. |

Thank you the enabling direct draw worked. Do I now have to disable it when I play CCV? I shall have a look for that close combat starter program in the downloads section. |

I did get the options menu up and turned off the video but I still got the same error. I have put the latest direct x on my computer. Will look into drivers next. I am running windows xp not sure which service pack off the top of my head. Off the top of my head my system specs are 2.1 ghz processor and 1 GB of ram. Will look up which service pack and the rest of the specs and what drivers I need later as I am about to continue my CCV campaign. |

Thank you very much for your help I have passed a link to this thread to my opponent to explain why he does not have reinforce. Now I can get on with the campaign. |

What is the best way to play this mod mutiplayer? I am coming to the end of my GJS campaign (well got 7 or 8 days left still) and am looking into what mod to play next (we are doing a winner picks next mod and it is still a major German victory). Is this mod best played as standard when downloaded or is it better with one or more of the sub mods Salhexe has made? I noticed this are called vetmods which I thought usually applied to single player. I also noticed in another thread someone recommending using one/some them for multiplayer. I am not a big fan of mortars killing vehicles and guns to easily which is why I am interested in these sub-mods. One last thing is I am not sure how to go about installing these sub-mods, I am used to the .pln format. I have tried the read me but I can make sense of it and don't want to risk corrupting something. |

Thank you for that information I have a few follow up questions if you can help. So his BG should not be getting reinforcements currently? What causes low supply? |

Latest Direct X did not help. Don't know if there is anything else to try. I shall continue to try and make it work until it does I have CCV to keep me going. |

I am part way through a GJS 4.4 campaign (about 8 days to go) I am Germans. My opponent has been able to reinforce BGs infinitly (not that he has), I understand this is a common problem and he started keeping a list. I have been wondering what the supply bar at the top of the screen actually means. Generally it seems to have little effect I know about cut off units having no fuel and little ammo. However the supply bar at the top of the battle group screen seems to vary almost randomly. Part of what has brought up this question is one of my opponents BGs has lost it's ability to reinforce. He has not reinforced the BG in question yet. It first occurred when he attacked a map with his supply cut off, as his plan was to reinforce the BG to attack the map. The BG has been reading as having 1 red bar or no bars in the supply thing at the top of the screen, could this be something to do with it? He has tried pulling the BG off the map and attacking another map, still could not reinforce. Fortunately with the other BGs broken so they can constantly reinforce I have allowed him an extra reinforce of his choice to make up for it. Does anyone have an idea of why the BG lost it's reinforce? |

Really looking forward to this mod love the demo. I know you must be fed up with people asking you when it is due out. You say that version 0.90 will have 14 maps does this mean you plan for more maps to be made at a later date? Also I have read in some of the other threads that you were converting it to CC:WAR, will there still be a CCV version?
Looking through the gallery seems there is a beta version with operations. This has me really excited as playing single battles always seems a bit pointless to me. |

Have just got CC:TLD and installed it when I try and play it I get and error message instaed of the game starting. It simply says in the title bar: "close combat error" and then in the grey box thing: "not avaliable" then an OK button. Anyone know why and if it is possible for me to cure this. I have had it running OK on my laptop but touch pad is just not the same as a mouse, especially for multiplayer. I have had CC:MT running fine one this computer (although they never sent me disk 2 and I stupidly uninstalled the copy I downloaded).
Any help would be greatly appreciated as the close combat games are about the only ones I play on my computer. |

I have had this problem before, I think I fixed it by uninstalling the game and manually deleting the config manager and any part of the patch that was still installed somewhere, then reinstalling the whole lot again. |

Also (I know this is not really "technical") what factors effect the level of attrition suffered by the Germans? As we are only a few days in and some of my BGs have suffered very badly from it. |
