It could be a great feature to see intact captured weapons (light and heavy) appear later in your forcepool (with limited ammunitions). But for tanks and guns it could take several days before they appear (the time to train your men to use this new material).

Werent captured tanks and vehicles not sent back to home/behind the front to be repaired and some men trained, instead of ever used by the troops who captured it?

Had the same problem. And its really easy to do these steps. Just type in regedit in the searchbar of Win7 and go through the steps, took me 45 seconds.

Command crews can be controlled after they bail out of a vehicle, all other crews are considered too shaken up to take further orders for the rest of the battle. So you just need to change/make the vehicle type to a command type....

The CC Excel workbook will show you the column you need to edit and what value to put in.

Thanks, I knew that but my question is the other way around: Is it possible to do crew that can NOT exit/survive on destruction?

Three other questions:

- Possbile to do Close Combat squads, with wich the AI tries to bring into close combat?
- Possible to manipulate the chances to get soldiers going berserk?
- Possible to get a Close Combat weapon on vehicles?

Can you tell me the name of a map?

It was the last map for that struggle to stop the allied armour. It was a long road with some houses around.

I am searching for this map to do a Darkes Hour map.

What do Battlegroup commanders do?

And what can be modded with/on them?

Found nothing in the forum so far.

So I am planing to work on a new mod. I have done such things before, but for other games and I know it takes a long time.

But I have a lot of questions:
- I once had some modding workbooks, but I cant find them anymore (already googled and searched the forum).
- Is it possible to have different Infantry graphics for each side and for different battlegroups/squads/squadmembers
- Is it possible to make crew members that cant survive/exit?
- How many animations do I need per Infantry-sprite?
- I saw a helikopter somewhere, so flying vehicles/infantry are possible?
- Is it possible to have weapons display for example laserbeams?

So I finally had some free time and wanted to install CC5 on my new Vista Laptop.

But whatever I try CC5 wont load (Vista error message: Does not work anymore).
I tried all compability modes (95, 98, XP), I tried it patched and unpatched, and I tried the CCstarter.

Nothing.  Sad

I don't think map makers would mind sharing map objects that have been 'released' on their maps. I think some map makers hold back their custom artwork/objects used for unreleased maps/projects...if they release the objects prematurely...keeping the new maps as fresh as possible.

Would be fine if they only share their already used objects and textures.

We will see if the artists are friendly enough. Very Happy

Perhaps we even find some people kind enough to share their work. I mean they dont loose anything, I would be glad to see my graphics used by others and to see new maps created.

Wouldn`t it be go for mapmakers if we could create a database (subsite, per forum, or just an upload collection) of terrain objects and buildings?

That would make the creation of maps easier, and perhaps thius way we get more/better maps, or just faster.

Could be just a collection of all kind of map graphics and such.

I think this forum needs a topic. Very Happy

- How do I start to create a map?
- Are there tutorials?
- How to draw ruins, silos, trenches and other elements?
- Using Gimp, Photoshop or Paint?
- Are there object databases?
- Object turorials available?

So what is still missing in this mod?

And would anybody like to try to improve/develop/finish this mod together with me?
